Democratic presidential candidates held their final debate before the Iowa primary last evening and it was filled with fireworks. Bottom line, we are looking at an evolution of the old paradigm (“building on Obama’s” works) or a revolutionary new paradigm (chucking the status quo – i.e., big bucks owning and running the country) and instituting health care as a right for all.
Ideally, I’m for the new paradigm. Always have been. In this day and age where we have such sophisticated medical care available in volume, there’s no reason why everyone shouldn’t have access to quality care without having to worry about having to go bankrupt. Medical bills can devastate a family. Even a middle class family. Co-pays and deductibles are astronomical. I know.
